Winter in South Tyrol
Whether you do downhill or cross-country skiing, snowboarding or skating, you can take part in almost every kind of winter sport here. Your winter holiday in South Tyrol will not leave you with any unfulfilled wishes.
For example, you can ski in the nearby Superski Dolomiti ski region with its 1,220 kilometres of ski pistes that include the Sella Runde and many other ski tours of the Dolomites. Do not forget your skates because there are several skating facilities waiting for you: the ice rink at St. Michael is open to the public in winter from 1.45 pm to 3.45 pm from Thursday to Sunday.
The lakes at Montiggl and Kaltern are usually frozen over in the winter months and offer plenty of space to skate to your heart’s content. Best of all, it is in the open countryside and this gives you much more fun!
Winter can vary here. Enjoy the romantic snow-covered countryside and get to know the south of South Tyrol on walks through our snow-covered vineyards, our winter woodland or by stopping off in a warm Stube.
